Detailed Answer:
Hello,
back pain commonly reflects orthopaedic diseases.
I'll make a list of common causes:
- muscular pain (bad stance for a prolonged time, like working in front of a computer without a proper seat and position, muscle sprain)
- nerve pain (nerves being under pressure due to protruding intervertebral discs in the spine)
- kidney pain (renal stones, kidney infection)
- bone pain (infection, tumor, injury)
- lung pain (pleurisy - pain when taking deep breaths in)
- referred pain (gallbladder pain referring to the back, heart pain referring to the back etc)
- vascular pain (like in aortic aneurysm rupture, which is a very serious condition, with many more very intense symptoms)
The most common causes are the first three. A doctor can confirm or exclude related diagnoses with clinical examination and perhaps simple tests like a urinalysis or an X-ray. In some cases more testing might be needed like an ultrasound scan for the kidneys, CT/MRI of the spine etc
I hope I've helped!
