Question : I've just been diagnosed on my right arm: benign lichenoid keratosis, non cancerous.
But they would not tell me what I'm doing or not doing that has caused it.
Can you answer this?

Brief Answer:
the cause is unknown

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

they couldn't tell you anything because there is nothing to tell. The cause is unknown. It is believed though that sun exposure may contribute to lichenoid keratosis.

Kind Regards!
