Question : I am on coumadin and just noticed my eye is bleeding (inside). Should I go to the ER?

Bleeding while on coumadin is a serious issue. At least an INR estimation should be done urgently and if required, the effect of Coumadin reversed by vitamin k .

So you should visit the emergency at the earliest.

Thank you. The ER doctor checked my INR 2.0 which is low for me. He wants me to follow up with my primary care.

This INR is not too high but still we need to be very careful regarding bleeding. Bleeding can be a manifestation at this INR in some patients. so another episode of bleed may necessitate change of medicine.
