Brief Answer: Nasal decongestant drops and liquid paraffin Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the query. Forceful blowing against nasal obstruction can lead to small lacerations over the nasal mucosa and can result in bleeding. Pain on severe blowing can be because of there small lacerations over mucosa because of the blowing but can also be because of blocking of Eustachian tube. Forceful blowing can make the tubes locked ad this results in pain. Otherwise you need to be investigated for nasal obstruction which is persisting for a year now. Nasal obstruction can be because of deviated nasal septum or turbinate hypertrophy, or both or polyps or any other mass in the nasal cavities. These things can be ruled out by nasal examination and a diagnostic endoscopy if your ENT thinks so. Otherwise, please take steam inhalation, nasal decongestant drops and liquid paraffin drops. This will keep the nostrils patent and also keep the Eustachian tubes open. In case the bleeding persists for longer period, a complete ENT examination will be required. Feel free to ask another query. Regards

Brief Answer: use lubricants drops in nose Detailed Answer: Thanks for the query. Hopefully everything should be normal by that time. Please keep the nasal cavities lubricated with liquid paraffin of in not available with saline drops. Also, avoid blowing forcefully and use nasal decongestant drops to keep the nostrils open. Brief Answer: Descriptive Detailed Answer: Thanks for the query. All nasal drops which are available for use in infants and are available over the counter are saline drops and can be used. Few names are Rhine, Otrivin - S, Nasoclear. Please ask you store people to give saline nasal drops. Nasal decongestants drops are Otrivin, Nasivion, Rhinoset and active constituent is Xylometazoline. So, you can ask for any of these. Lubricant is Liquid paraffin but if not available even few drops of Glycerine can be used which is easily available. Brief Answer: Can be because of decogesting effect of Otrivin Detailed Answer: Thanks for the query. Yellowish watery discharge which is coming out from nose will most likely be nasal discharge which has become a bit thin and drainable because of decongesting effect of Otrivin. So, there is nothing to be worried about. Only thing is that you should go for ENT examination in some time to rule out any persisting infection in the nose or para nasal sinuses. Also taking steam will help in further liquefying things and drainage. Feel free to ask another query. Regards
