What Causes Blood In Stool?

default
Posted on Fri, 15 Jul 2016
Question: I have had a very small amount of blood in my stools recently accompanied by a slight burning. I was not staining and bm appears normal otherwise. I had clear colonoscopy in January 2014. I don't feel any external hemmoroids.
I have had some pain in neck and back too .

Brief Answer:
Hemorrhoids are the most probable reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Was it a blood on the stool surface or mixed with it?

If it was on stool surface, hemorrhoids (do not have to be visible) are the most probable reason.
If the blood is mixed with stool, this symptom can not be ignored.

Anemia (even slight) can be a very first sign of large intestine malignancy. That is why, I suggest you to have colonoscopy done once again. This will also diagnose possible hemorrhoids.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
