Brief Answer:
Need urinalysis, ultrasound KUB and coagulation profile

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through. Based on the history you have shared, it can be anything ranging from urinary tract infection, or some renal stones or even some growth inside bladder so it needs to be worked up properly.

To start with a urinalysis, alongwith ultrasound KUB for bladder walls, renal sizes, any evidence of hydronephrosis or echogenecity changes for diabetic nephropathy. A good blood pressure charting and recordings may also be needed.

Meanwhile drink large amounts of water and keep blood sugars under control. If needed urologist review for cystoscopy may be sought. Systemic causes like bleeding diathesis needs to be ruled out with a fresh coagulation profile.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
