What Causes Blurred Vision When Suffering From Migraine?

default
Posted on Wed, 28 May 2014
Question: I do have bad allergies which cause a form of migraine. Usually only the type with little pain, but can't focus as they blurr from place to place.......after sleeping and opening my eyes I see blood red image on my light colored wall. One eye is a lacy design, the other is kind of oval but not XXXXXXX .....I am concerned as to what is causing this? The spots leave in a few seconds but now everything has a light yellow hue.

Brief Answer:
This indicates prodromal phase of migraine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam
Welcome to health care magic

It seems from the history that you are having chronic migraine.
The symptoms you have mentioned like seeing various colored patterns represent prodromal phase called as aura of migraine. This indicate the endocrine and neurological changes which occur before the onset of migraine headache in the brain cortex.

There will no structural problem in the eye, hence no need to worry.

The treatment of these is by use of prophylactic drugs to prevent migraine. The commonly used drugs are flunarizine or propranolol. Your local doctors will know about these drugs.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and prescription of drugs.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
