Brief Answer:
Old blood or infection...

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the question and thank you for visiting our site.

What you are experiencing sounds like it might be related to an infection. In a previous question, you described an increased discharge, vaginal irritation and burning with urination. This can cause bleeding as well. Old blood in small amounts will make its way out as a brownish discharge. This could be related to the prior infection and if treated, this should resolve. If you have not seen an OB/GYN, then you really should get in to be seen and get to the bottom of what is going on before it is a bigger problem. Also, if there is any chance of pregnancy, make sure that you check a pregnancy test.

I hope that this helps and good luck!

Brief Answer:
Yes you should take another test

Detailed Answer:
You may have checked the test too early - it will turn positive about two weeks after conception.

Also, antibiotics used to treat a UTI can cause vaginal infections. Yeast infections are common, but if you still have a blood tinged discharge after your period is over, you need to go back to your doctor for re-evaluation.
