Brief Answer:
Possibility of oral Herpes if kissing was there

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Though a hand job has one of the least transmission rates of sexually transmitted infections you may not be entirely risk free in a massage parlor if it is not maintained hygienically.

It is important to know if you indulged in any act of kissing while at the massage parlor. This is because even kissing can transmit infections such as oral Herpes which is highly infective and can cause burning sensation in and around your mouth. Please be on the look out for any rashes or small blisters around your mouth as this is confirmatory of oral Herpes and you may get tested after consulting a doctor.

Other than oral Herpes, there is very little chance of any sexually transmitted infection that can be acquired in a massage parlor in the circumstances mentioned by you.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

I didn't kiss or being kissed. Just the hand job. The place was clean and not bad hygiene. Does anything come from the table?

I have one pimple / boil in my waist area and I saw it today, but it doesn't hurt and it was almost dry, but when I touched it it poped and some puss or blood came out. is it any thing like herpes? I can attach the picture of the spot and pimple. I applied neosporin on it.

Brief Answer:
Boil in waist is hair follicle infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

The likelihood of getting a sexually transmitted infection is low in your case as you say the place was hygienically maintained. There is no immediate concern but you may visit a doctor if the burning in mouth persists and rashes develop around the mouth region.

Coming the the photo of the single boil in the waist region, it looks like a hair follicle infection. Applying neosporin is one of the best ways to treat it. Please do not scratch it with your nails as that can cause delay in healing.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Hand wash is causing burning

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

I think there is really no need to get worried. Please do not use anti bacterial hand wash on the penis because it causes chemical burn and that is why the burning. The mucosal lining of the urethera is very sensitive. Please wash your penis only with warm water and mild soap and do not let the soap enter the urethra.

I applied coconut oil as I read some where in the blog. I am just paranoid and worried. I am in the US and most of the data shows out 5 one is infected and I don't want to be the one. Hope you understand where my questions come from. I don't want to get it or pass it on to dear and near. I want to be happy and live this life with no such thing.

Its 100% sure we don't get it from a hand job right? And I read some where that it can be spread skin to skin contact. And she did touch me and gave a hand job. I am not sexually active and she might be doing it to other clients. feel so miserable on why I went there!

Brief Answer:
No transmission if she wore hand gloves

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

We have reason to believe that one in 5 Americans is infected with the Herpes virus. Transmission rate of this virus is very high and it can be transmitted by kissing and skin to skin hugging. If the lady at the massage parlor used hand gloves on you during massage and the hand job afterwards then there is no reason to worry. But if she did it with bare hands then chances of transmission exist if she is infected.

Do not panic at the moment, you may get tested for Herpes in a few months to make sure you are not infected. It is important to know that because of good immunity, the disease does not manifest in most adults.

Hope your query is answered.

She didn't wear hand gloves. She used hand sanitizer before she touched me. I am not sure if that is enough. There are information on the net which says herpes tests are not true always. So how can I find that out? I am worried now. "If she is infected" - she need to have infection anywhere on her body or hands?

Brief Answer:
You may get tested after few months

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

There is no need to get worried and blame yourself. It is less likely that there was transmission if adequate amount of hand sanitizer was used by her. You may wait for few weeks or months and get tested for specific Herpes antibodies which will detect any Herpes infection in you, even in the past. The most important points are that a person need not have the disease even is he or she is infected. So it is not true that you will have the disease after infection. For peace of mind I recommend you get tested in a few months.

Hope your query is answered.

Its more of mental baggage now, its almost a week now I am suffering from this baggage. She used hand sanitizer and also she used some liquid. I am not sure the virus can survive it. You think it is good to do testing after 3 months or so? is it a blood test?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Vivek Chail (8 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Blood tests recommended for you

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

To my knowledge there are at least 3 types of tests available to make a diagnosis of Herpes infection in humans.

1. Blood test. This test analyzes a sample of your blood for the presence of HSV antibodies to detect a past herpes infection. This one is most suitable for you.

2. Viral culture. This test involves taking a tissue sample or scraping of the sores for examination in the laboratory and is a method of direct diagnosis should there be an blisters.

3. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. PCR is used to copy your DNA from a sample of your blood, tissue from a sore or spinal fluid. The DNA can then be tested to establish the presence of HSV and determine which type of HSV you have. This is a specific test applying latest diagnostic methods and not done in all laboratories.

I guess you need to get the mental baggage off your head at the earliest so testing in 3 months will be a good idea. I am almost sure that you will come out clean.

Hope your query is answered.

I will try to get over this and test it after 3 months. I need to get out of this anxiety. I shaved and applied aloe Vera gell as doctor suggested, and my burning around the lips are almost gone.

Answers hold good even now

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

I appreciate your information research on the topic. As mentioned earlier I see this incident as a very low risk event concerning the transmission of sexual infections including Herpes. These forum answers hold good even now and as explained "we also have a risk of being struck by lightening" and this does not stop us from going out in bad weather. I thought you need to get your mental baggage off your head and for that sole purpose recommended a test in 3 months time. I reassure you that you are not infected with the virus if we consider the practicality of the event which means, you went to the parlor, she applied enough hand sanitizer and then gave you a massage which ended with a hand job less than two minutes duration.

Hope your query is answered.
