What Causes Burning Sensation In The Penis After Unprotected Sex?

default
Posted on Fri, 23 Sep 2016
Question: Roughly two months ago I had unprotected sex and began experiencing a burning sensation on my penis. I never experienced any blisters that might indicate herpes.I spoke to a doctor on this site and he acted like my symptoms did not indicate an Std. The burning elapsed a few days after our exchange and have remained lapsed until now. Since that time Ive moved to a new residence. It's an area that requires me to walk quite a bit and is in a hot climate.

The burning sensation is located at the bottom of my penis shaft and seems to flare up when I walk. It gets red in that area but again, there haven't been any blisters that have formed.

I've also been experiencing a slight prickling sensation almost like my pubic hair is poking my penis.

What do you think?

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Prostatitis can not be ruled out .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts and symptoms that you have one month after unprotected sex with unknown female partner I suspect to be due to infection of prostate (Prostatitis)

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Swab test and culture of urethral discharge obtained after prostate massage .
4) Serum PSA.

In the mean while start taking antibiotic like Doxicycline and anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
