What Causes Burning Sensation In The Right Thigh?

I have been suffering a burning sensation in my left thigh. I have been to the doctor and he suggested that i am suffering from meralgia paresthetica. He also suggested to take nuroday p sr. I am trying to think, how this medicine is going to help me. Based on my research and findings about this medical issue that this condition is never going to improve. Is that correct? Cant i be the normal person without this suffering, I am frustrated with my condition and findings way to get better. Please advise, whether i should take medicine or do anything which can improve my conditions.
