GERD, infectious focus should be looked for, first
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on your description, it appears to be a case of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). However, an infectious cause / focus should be looked for. The oral cavity and throat should be examined to look for evidence suggesting acute follicular tonsillitis or pharyngitis. Throat swab for culture sensitivity testing can be obtained and empirical treatment with antibiotics can be initiated which would be tailored according to the culture reports later on.
If no infectious cause is isolated then PPIs like lansoprazole with pro kinetics such as itopride should be advised to look for improvement of the watering, nausea and chest discomfort. If there is chest pain/ discomfort which persists despite PPI use then an EKG should be obtained especially during such an episode to rule out a cardiac cause.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
