Question : A free fluid collection was seen in my POD,with acute appendicitis Pid what does this mean and is pregnancy possible for me cos me and my husband just started trying for kids. And my ovulation ended yesterday

Hi.
Let us simplify.

You have got a free fluid in pelvis, POD ( Pouch of XXXXXXX a space between uterus and rectum.
I would advise to get operated for appendicitis by appendectomy, Aspirate the fluid to be sent for examination to get gram staining, culture and sensitivity done.
PID means Pelvic Inflammatory disorder. You have an obvious cause of this, that is appendicitis. Appendectomy should be ASAP as it is known to cause infertility due to blockage of the tubes.

You should try for a baby after 3 to 6 months as there will be no risk then; not now as you may get antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines which may not be suitable for the baby in uterus.
Pregnancy is possible if you get a proper treatment.
