Question : My male, 41 year old friend is complaining of a constant "antifreeze like" smell.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having post nasal discharge giving constant "antifreeze like" smell .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily ,
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily &
Antihistaminic Tab Claritin at night .

You will get relief .
