Question : My mother is 89 years old and was being treated for bronchistis with a steroid and an antibiotic by iv. She finished her treatments last night and was feeling much better. Today she seems to have relapsed. She has no energy, coughs constantly and is confused at time. What should I do?

Best treatment of bronchitis is inhaled bronchodilators.
Systemic steroids can cause electrolyte disturbances and this can cause altered behavior and confusion.
So she needs blood investigations for electrolytes and inhaled bronchodilators for bronchitis (cough and less energy).
So better to take her to hospital and discuss all these with doctors.
