What Causes Constant Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?

Question: I'm 66 and have on and off for 16 years had intermittent right side in the tonsil area odd feeling..I would not call it pain but kind of odd feeling and possibly dry and almost feels like I got something stuck in it. I have been checked and even scoped in the office numerous times!! Always ok for 15 + years seems worse as the day wears on and better in am it's possibly slightly swollen more by days end. But dr have said the right tonsil is not overly enlarged I'm not going to die I guess since it's been 15 + years but it's annoying. Could alcohol dry out the throats and tonsil but always just the right? It does seem worse if I've been out and had 3-4 drinks. I'm not sure I have Gerd but could it effect only one side? Crazy I know but thanks

2. Yes, since it is chronic, this problem will not be a major one.

3. GERD can cause one sided symptoms and affects the quality of life.

4. More common is inflammation of the lymphoid tissue in the throat due to allergy, infection or reflux. A Post Nasal Drip (PND) can also cause of sided symptoms.

5. Alcohol will worsen the dryness in the throat.
