What Causes Constipation When Diagnosed With Uterine Fibroids?

default
Posted on Fri, 23 Dec 2016
Question: I'm 65 y/o and have been told and showed 3 opaque masses in my uterine area. Apparently this is stopping up my bowels and I have diarrhea. The dr says the feces are liquid to get around. I had a full uterine ablation decades ago to get rid of fibroids. I know they seared the uterus. How is it that I now have this problem of blockage. They want to do a hysterectomy. I'm reluctant because others have had that and have bladder problems. I need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

Health issue caused from uterine fibroids vary from their position and theirs size .

When they are located on/in the posterior wall of uterus they can cause bowel issue, and when they are located in/on the anterior wall they can cause bladder issue.

Hence, while you have bowel issues, your fibroids are located on the posterior wall of uterus.
