Question : Hi. I have some strange cold- my symptoms are: Lots of coughing, headaches, white on tongue, no appetite, low backache, low energy... But I am not experiencing stuffiness, although I do blow my noise pretty often- and that is all clear. I do not feel feverish. I have had this for a week now and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I am a healthy 50 year old otherwise... I sure hope you can help me... Farron

Wouldn't I be stuffy? and wouldn't the discharge be discolored? That all looks clear with no discoloration...I haven't been stuffed up at any point... Do you know what the white coloring could be on my tongue? food taste off as well. would an over the counter benedryl work?

There many reason for White coating on tongue , in your case it might because of viral infection . Use antiseptic mouth wash twice daily .
Taste sensation get disturb if sense of smell decrease .
Yes benedryl will decrease your symptoms.
