What Causes Delay In Menstrual Cycle?

Question: For the past 5 months my cycles have been 25 to 30 days I am now on day 35 and no sign of period. I am try get pregnant but test is negative. I am worried sick my periods have stopped. I have seen fertility specialist recently who says I need to lose weight to conceive. He has done baseline bloods day 2 fsh 7.1 lh normal and esteogen normal. Please help what can be wrong. I dont want to get excited i may be pregnant to find out i am not. What are my chances please? Will my period come back naturally I am so scared I am 40 x

My GP says I could still be pregnant. Here are the tests he is doing tomorrow FBC ESR HBA1C SERUM U&ES LFTS CRP TSH TFT GLUCOSE FERRITIN B12 VIT D TTG LH FSH HCG. Previous test results done are ultrasound scan normal and 4 months ago these blood results Estrogen 115, LH 1.7, FSH 7.1 which GP and fertility specialist say are normal apart from estrogen a little low but shouldnt cause any problems

Its not menopause I hope

I am on Day 41 now and still nothing, done another test this morning that is still negative. My periods have been like this the last few months:
September 24 day cycle, October 26 day cycle, November 27 day cycle, December 26 day cycle
What on earth is wrong I am so stressed out and worried, I wont get HCG blood result until next week x
