Question: My friend who is 83 yrs old just called to tell me that her blood pressure is 102/57, it's hard to breathe and her bowel movements have been white and foamy for 3 days. I told her to call her doctor and cardiologist and keep me posted. What else should I know?

Brief Answer:
Stop blood pressure medications. Drink much water. Control blood pressure!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It appears your friend is having dehydration. Probably the white and foamy stools is diarrhea and has caused increased fluid loss. This causes dehydration and a drop in her blood pressure.

I will recommend she drinks much water and stops her high blood pills for now. She needs to call the primary care doctor to see if she needs stool analysis and antibiotics or not.

Keep me updated. I wish her well.
