Brief Answer:
Facial Palsy. Visit an ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. From your description and history, this seems to be a Facial Palsy.

2. A common type is known as Bell's Palsy, while there are other types. There is a paresis of the Facial Nerve (Seventh Cranial Nerve).

3. What is strange is that in Bell's Palsy, there is loss of taste sensation or altered taste sensation in the anterior two-thirds of the tongue, not the back quarter of the tongue, which is supplied sensation by the Glosspharyngeal Nerve (Ninth Cranial Nerve).

4. Hence, I recommend that you visit a nearby ER or consult a Neurologist, ENT Specialist immediately. This is also important as treatment can begin as soon as possible to enable early recovery.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
