Brief Answer:
Is this to say difficulties rising from a seated position?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this difficulty standing that you have reported. To make suer we are referring to the same condition, do you mean you find it difficult to rise from the sitting position to an upright position? If this is the case, then it may be the early signs of a neuromuscular disease referred to as Parkinsons. This is often accompanied by tremors especially at rest. Also, persons with this condition find it difficult to walk without leaning forward. Please, let me know if you ahem any of these symptoms so that I can provide more insights and guidance on how to go about it.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

I have NO symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. When I rise from a seated position, it takes me about 30-40 seconds to "stabilise" before I can walk forward. Could this be poor circulation in the legs? How can my Dr. test for this, any treatment for this?

Brief Answer:
I will say work with a physical therapist first!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

I will suggest that you work with a physical therapist who can help you with finding the right posture and adjustments to quickly gain stability and avoid any possible falls. Another thing of interest would be to indulge in regular moderate physical activity to ensure that blood circulation to all parts of the body is improved upon. Should these fail, I will suggest that you get evaluated by a neurologist for further examination and management.

Let me know what your immediate take is about the above suggested plan.
