Muscle Biopsy Diagnosed Occasional Atrophic And Rounded Hypertrophic Fibres. Muscle Disease?

A recent muscle biopsy has shown occasional atrophic fibre and occasional rounded Hypertrophic fibres, i have cleared levels of 300. I am housebound due to ME so not much activity, although I do have a two year old so i don't just sit down all day, could the muscle biopsy results be a early indication of muscle disease... Biopsy was clear for myositis and vasculitis

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The presence of atrophic muscle fibers on a muscle biopsy is a normal finding. Since any other disorders and inflammation has been ruled out, there is nothing to worry.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
