What Causes Dizziness After Taking Deep Breaths?

Question: over last few days having dizziness after taking deep breaths...rather pronounced at times...am diabetic...usually good blood pressure close to 120 over 80...this morning took pressure was 159 over 91 came down to 144 over 83...am on insulin but diabetes not well controlled...no other symptoms at all just dizziness ...my email is YYYY@YYYY running off to hospital for tons of tests....thank you for your expertise and insight....:)

Good day.
Noted your concern. When you take a deep breath, there is expansion of the volume with in your chest compartment and there is a rush of blood flow to chest. This means that, most of body's blood flows to chest.
This results in reduced blood flow to brain and you feel dizzy. This is not unusual. No need to worry about it. However if you feel dizzy all the time, please meet a doctor.
