Is It Safe To Use NuvaRing?
I started the hcg injections 15 days ago. The first week I lost 9 pounds. I suffered from PCOS and insulin resistance. Three days after that week (wednesday) I had my menstruation.(I used nuvaring). I was feeling bad, and pain mild belly pain so I stop that sunday the hcg injections. Have gain 13 pounds in one week. After reading a lot of articles, my symptoms are exactly what ohss give you. My question is: My period was very small and that sunday, I put the nuvaring back. Should I leave it on, even if I have ohss? It will go away by itself? My belly is so big and it feels is full of liquid. Thank you

You are suffering from the symptoms of OHSS. Since you are uncomfortable, you may not use NuvaRing. Get connected to your local treating doctor & keep him/her informed. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a potentially life-threating complication of the early luteal phase and/or early pregnancy after in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. In case, you develop symptoms of pain and vomiting, thirst or dehydration then you should immediately report to your treating doctor, you may need urgent medical care.
