Question : I have been taking Penicillin for over a week now and am experiencing very dry mouth throat and bloating in the stomach , should i stop taking for a while ?

It is common side effects of Penicillin like older generation Antibiotics to cause such side effects of dry mouth and bloating stomach. Are they so severe to stop the penicillin? Actually we have to view the benefits vs the side effects before you stop. Why were you given the medicine?

We also need to check if you have any other problem that was aggravated after starting the Penicillin therapy like gastritis or GERD which can happen. So it is better to call the prescribing doctor and listen to his opinion as well.
