Brief Answer:
I need further details.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern.

Easy and frequent bruising requires evaluation, as cause should be ruled out to prevent any acute life threatening bleeding problems that might occur some day.

By saying that you like massages, I feel that you want to say that you develop bruising whenever you get a massage. If it is so, please do mention that do you get bruises ONLY after getting massages?

I would like to know a few details:

1.Since how long have you been suffering from this bruising problem?
2.When did you notice it first time?
3.They develop after some trauma or slight injury or develop spontaneously?
4.On which parts of the body do you develop them?
5.Any history of Bleeding from nose , Bleeding into joints?
6.Any history of joint pains, frequent reddening of eyes?
7.Any history of any medicine intake or even body building supplements?
8.What is the color of the bruise? Red or blue?
9.If you have one attach a photograph of that
10.If you have ever got any investigations done, please attach.
11.What do you use for massage purpose? Any special cream/oil?

This is my best opinion for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me and revert with the answers of the questions preferably in point wise manner.

Stay Healthy.

I notice if I bump into something for example, if not treated right away with ice, the bruising remains. I would like to get rid of them. As I child my nose did bleed a lot and I do have fibroid tissue that at one time caused my monthly to heavy. I had to take 3 times a day iron pills. Can I do anything about old bruises?

Brief Answer:
Get Investigated

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
The history you are giving is in favour of some coagulation disorder, it can also be due to Platelet dysfunction.
I am just surprised that you have never been asked for work up by this age!

Anyways, as initial diagnostic workup,i advise you following tests:
1. Hemogram with ESR
2. aPTT, PT/INR
3. ANA.
4. BT/CT

Once you have these reports please review with me.
If we find any problem in the tests we would do further work up.

If you have any further query please ask me, else you may please close the discussion and rate it.
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
