Question : male patient 65 years old with high PSA_F 0.191 ng/ml and high PSA ratio 0.52. what does this mean? and what should be done?

Ultrasound first

Hi and welcome.
This is elevated PSA but not critical and in most cases it indicates only prostate hyperplasia. However, tumors should be always ruled out so you need to do ultrasound of the prostate and biopsy if something suspected is found.

ultrasound was done and revealed enlarged prostate 40 gm with no focal lesion

Hi.
These are good news.this is obviously Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Then all you need is a ultrasound follow up twice a year and if it grows then tamsulosin should be taken as medication.
