Brief Answer:
Evaluation should be done.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Such rise in bilirubin level should be investigated to find out the cause.
As far as your query is concerned, Ursocol is best useful in obstructive jaundice. However it is also effective in fatty liver.
As such this is a safe drug but can cause loose stools.
I would advise you following tests if not done:
1. Viral Markers.
2. Complete Liver Function Test.
In case you consume alcohol stop that immediately.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
