As noted in my question sent 18 minutes ago under my full my name, i have had a extreme spike in my glucose from 110 to 190 A1C 5.5 to 6.5 - i have lost 24 pounds in past 10 weeks - i exercise 3 x week for 2 hrs, both cardio & weights i have not used sugar or any form of sugar in foods for over 4 months - i have been on Lipitor for 2 years total HCL,LDL under 110 for over a year. I have just recovered from a gall bladder attack last week, the blood work was done the week before the attack. Your thoughts? Can long term Lipitor use cause this. I dont eat anything with processed sugar or otherwise, no bread, no potatoes, rice, or carbs in general.

Long -term use of Lipitor can cause other side effects not increasing level of blood sugar and loss of 24 pounds in the past 10 weeks .

While you have been on a strict diet and exercise regularly ,but blood sugar levels are increasing you should contact with an endocrinologist because your meds need for a detailed examination and proper treatment.
