Question : hello doctor
please find attached report of uric acid of my father.
As compared to previous reports its high. he is taking colchicine 0.5mg tablet for this. please suggest the medicine and things to eat and not to eat. what to do next for this.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
His Uric Acid is extremely high and he should be right away started on Febuxostat 80 mg once daily.
Colchicine is not the right drug for him. It is used in Acute Gouty attack only.
Febuxostat reduces the uric acid levels and helps in treatment.
I would advice him to drink plenty of water and should take pulses in moderate amount only.
He should not take Red meat and alcohol in case he takes.
