Brief Answer:
Management of Erectile Dysfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

In your case, the Erectile dysfunction is due to a combination of different factors.
Diabetes, Flomax (used for the treatment of Benign prostatic hyperplasia) can cause erectile dysfunction. Additionally, If you are on Beta-blockers like Metoprolol for high blood pressure, it can also contribute to erectile dysfunction.

I would recommend very stringent control of blood sugar levels. Continue Metformin, Januvia, and Toujeo injections, follow a healthy diet, exercise regularly and closely monitor blood sugar levels.

Also, try discontinuing Flomax and use Cialis instead to improve urine flow. Cialis has been approved by FDA for the treatment of both BPH and erectile dysfunction. Cialis improves the blood flow to the penis, thereby treating erectile dysfunction. It also relaxes muscles in the urethra and the prostate, thus increasing urinary flow.Cialis and Flomax should not be taken together as it can dangerously lower the blood pressure. It is important to stop Flomax before starting Cialis.

Please let me know the Blood pressure medication you are taking. If you are on beta-blockers switching to another anti hypertensive is important for managing erectile dysfunction. It is also important to adjust the dose of Anti-hypertensive medication or keep close monitoring of blood pressure before starting Cialis to prevent hypotension.

Please be advised to check your lipid profile, blood sugar levels, serum testosterone levels also.

Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider to make the necessary medication switch.

Hope this answers your question
