Question : I have been bleeding constantly since my September period with clotting and severe pressure in my lower abdomen area, I am experiencing roughly 5 headaches in a 7 day period. Within the last month I am going through 2 pads in an hour, I have been experiencing periods of weakness in the morning and throughout the day. This all began after I had an E-sure device place 3 years ago.

Explanation is given below....

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

I have read your question and I understand your concern.

Excessive vaginal bleeding during the period of menstruation with abdominal pressure can be due to several reasons

The most common reason may be a uterine fibroid or polyp.

Hence to determine if you have or not a fibroid or polyp you should do a transvaginal scan.

Please let me know when was the last time you have done ultrasound scan to see your uterus ?

If you have done a scan and it was normal , then the most common causes is abnormal vaginal bleeding due to hormonal imbalances .

Headache can be due to hormonal changes and /or anemia while you have experience excess bleeding since September.

When is the last time you have done a blood test for anemia ?

Please let me know the details so that I can guide you properly

Regards

My last vaginal scan was last week. I had an abdominal and transvaginal but there was too much blood to see anything. I have a 2cm fibroid but they said this was probably not the cause. They put me on one dose a Provera one for ten days, then 2 per day, then low dose birth control pills because I sometimes suffer with high blood pressure. But nothing has stopped the bleeding or slowed it up. I am still having bleeding and clots. I have Essure and had seen a video by a Dr. XXXXXXX Novoa that said sometimes prolonged uterine bleeding was due to mechanical reasons from Essure but when I asked my doctor she did not say if that was possible. I am scheduled for a D&C this Tuesday but just don't know if that is my best option at this point.

Brief Answer:
D& C is the best option

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!

While vaginal bleeding hasn't stopped despite using Provera and birth control pills, and both abdominal and transvaginal scans were normal, then the next best option for you is D& C.
D&C is both medical and diagnostic method.

In my opinion vaginal bleeding isn't related to Essure .
