Question : On thursday I was feeling "punk". Had frequent bowels movements.. Thursday nigh and fridaynight I had fever chills, body aches
and sometime burning up and developed diarhea -SPL? Ive eaten only tea toast soft egg, pastina in chicken broth and creama of wheat until yeaterday - I changed the diet to rice. Took some Peptol Bismuth twice yesterday. Fever and chills have gone. what should eat or not eat. Should I see my doctor? I'm 70 ( a young 70) :)

Fever with loose stools indicate that it was due to an infection. For an infection you must take a course of antibiotics.

Do consult your treating doctor for complete examination and prescription of suitable antibiotics.

Meanwhile maintain hydration by consuming lots of fluids.

If its an infection there are chances of it recurring if not being placed on antibiotics.
