Brief Answer:
The tremors are not permanent and can be controlled with medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

Lithium Carbonate is known to cause tremors. You have discontinued Lithium in Dec 2014 and still have tremors in fingers. In most individuals the tremors decrease in severity after stopping the drug with in 6 months. But in some the fine tremors may persist beyond six months.

The tremors can be controlled easily with medicines like Beta Blockers as Propranolol. Propranolol in 20-40 mg doses daily has been found to control these fine tremors effectively. Pyridoxin or Vitamin B6 has also been found to control these tremors. B6 in doses of 900-1200 mg per day is known to reduce the frequency of tremors. As your tremors are persisting even after passage of 6 months so please visit a psychiatrist for help and treatment. These are not permanent, can be controlled with medicines.

I hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

Thanks, Take care.

They have reduced significantly in severity and almost 90% healed, but still a mild tremor persists. It is particularly noticeable under times of stress while typing at a keyboard for example. Since 6 months have passed, is further improvement (healing) possible? Or is it now considered permanent?

Brief Answer:
Th tremors are not permanent.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for asking a follow up question

Yes with time the tremors would reduce completely. Try not to pay attention to these tremors. The tremors are increasing in stress so some components of anxiety are also there in these tremors. So yes start taking the medicines as I have mentioned and remain relaxed, your tremors would reduce completely.

They are not permanent.

Thanks, TAKE CARE
