Question : About 20% of the time when eating - the first few bites - it feels like the food gets stuck in my throat and I can't breath and my heartbeat stops. Of course, though, I can breathe and my heart beat keeps going. After a few seconds I vomit. It's been going on for months.

Brief Answer:
Further tests defonitely required

Detailed Answer:
hi and welcome.this symptoms isn't usual and further test are required. in some cases,in smokers, this may be normal and isn't indicating any disorder, also anxiety may cause it as well. but ,some organic issues should be ruled out so you need to do gastroscopy, chest xray and barium enema test. this will reveal possible hiatal hernia, gastritis, esophagitis or some obstruction in esoohagus which then can be treated. wish you good health. regards
