What Causes Frequent Urination?

default
Posted on Fri, 13 Mar 2015
Question: For about 6 months off and on, I have had frequency to pee often but smaller amounts, not a burning with a bladder infection. I was checked for STD came back negative and by planned parenthood several times they cant find it. It makes my stomach ache consonantly. its almost as if the urine were hot when it passes out. I did not have my period last month or this month, pregnancy test came back negative. If I have sex it triggers it to come on, stays about a week then goes away till the next time I have sex. What could it possible be?

Brief Answer:
its a UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting HCM,
These are typical symptoms of urnary tract infection which are recurring again and again for you. The typical burning sensation while urination, increased frequency of urine and lower abdominal and lower backache are characteristic.
You should opt for urine culture and sensitivity to isolate the organism and take antibiotics treatment for a week to complete treatment.
If sex triggers the symptoms then it is likely that your partner is also infected with bacteria and needs evaluation with a urine/urethral swab culture. In that case both have to be treated together.
Please visit your physician for an evaluation and lab test.

But I have been to planned parenthood on several occasions for this issue, and they can never find anything. No yeast infection nothing.
Wouldn't they also be able to detect a urinary tract infection. Which I have also asked them about.
