Question : Hi. My friend/boss passed pasty light green stool balls with what looked like raw meat throughout today. She ate 6 Mc Donald's chicken nuggets, French fries, and watermelon for supper with almonds and yogurt raisins for snack. The only other food she had yesterday bagels and oatmeal and 3 slim fast shakes. The only other different thing is she took 5mg fiber gummy chews for the first time ever in place of her Metamucil drink as she has been bloated and constipated lately. Please note she is paraplegic and has a colostomy. Thank you for any information you can share with us
Brief Answer:
Bile
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Green stools through the colostomy back is normal, it is because of bile. Please do not worry about it. It is not related to any of the food she ate as none of them contain green coloring agent. However there is no harm in getting a stool routine and a liver function test on your next follow up with your doctor
Regards
