What Causes Headaches, Dizziness And Nausea?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 Jun 2017
Question: At 1:30 am my husband began breathing very loud and rapidly, was drenched in sweat, was unresponsive to me trying to wake him up, and urinated on himself while unresponsive. When he woke up after about two minutes, he had a right sided headache and was dizzy and nauseated. His symptoms resolved over the next 30 minutes with cold cloth to his head and a small amount of orange juice.

Brief Answer:
Looks like anxiety attack.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

What you are describing seems like a generalized anxiety attack. It is characteristic because they usually happen after lunch or during night when the body is at rest.
If it happens again (and most probably it will) I would recommend the following :
- Talk him to relax, and take deep breathings or breath in a paper bag.
- Get out for a little to get fresh air.
- Identify which is the cause of anxiety and try to go through it if still applicable.
- Running or physical activity will help him if it is something he can consider.
- If it gets repeated frequently, then he needs to see a local doctor who can prescribe medicines.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you have other questions or concerns
