Question : I have this troublesome noise pressure in my left ear. I went to the family dr and he gave me 5 days of prednisone and 10 days of claridin. This has not helped me. What should I do next? XXXXXX

You need an expert otorhinolaryngologist. he will run some labs and do a complete physical examination and take a detailed history and then all the dots will be connected for this hearing troubles and then treat you accordingly as per the cause. Don't worry there are many options to select from like electro stimulation, biofeedback, Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS),neuromonics, counseling, support groups, medicines like Sedative hypnotics and SSRIs and SNRIs and some retraining and hearing aids measures. In nutshell all you need is to pay a visit to an otorhinolaryngologist nearby and get yourself assessed.
