Question : My baby is suffering from heavy cough with chest congestion from last 10 days. I had given him chericof(as suggested by general physical of healthcaremagic) and Amrox junior syrup(as suggested by general physician). I am also giving him steam with vicks. There is no effect of these medicines. Can you please suggest him some good medicines. Fyi, I noticed that everytime when he suffer from cough it take long time to completely go. Please suggest..

Thanks for the query.

After reading your baby clinical history it appears that he is most probably having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) going to lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) .

If I were his treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
1) Syrup Xyzal M 3ml twice
2) Syrup combiflam 3ml thrice
3) Syrup azee 3ml once
continue steam with vicks thrice daily . Use complete treatment plan for 7 days .

He will get relief .

You will need prescription for medication .

Thanks doctor. He is also having running nose too. Do you recommend and change in medicines.
