Question : After carotid endarterectomy I have a sizeable hematoma and also experienced what was called "pooling" in my breast. The blood clot is annoying and brings discomfort. Can this be removed or should I wait out a time period to see if it decreases?

The hematoma is on right side neck below jaw bone. The endarterectomy was done on 2/05 2016. I do not have image of nor would not know how to do it.

                                    Brief Answer:
Please have soft tissues ultrasound done.
Detailed Answer:
Well, the hematoma you have is most likely in the soft tissues. Its not something that can be removed as this is not a real fluid collection. However, it is pretty long since the procedure. Usually hematoma is gone after a month or so. So it would be good to have an ultrasound and see if there is no real fluid collection there.
