Question : As per my doctor's advise, I am taking galvasmet 50/500 mg and reclide XR-60 before and after breakfast and dinner.
Today my fasting blood sugar is 200 mgdl and postlunch count is 300 mgdl.
Please advise me suitable medicines to control my diabetes.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Please do additional tests like HbA1c and kidney function tests. If HbA1c is less than 9% we can try with increasing the medications like Reclide XR 60 to thrice daily and wait for 2 months to see if sugars are controlled. If HbA1c is higher, it is better to start on insulin.

Next week I will undergo tests advised by you. In the meantime shall I start Reclide XR-60 thrice a day or wait until the test result known. Please advise me.
