Brief Answer:
Should see a Nephrologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com. I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

Disbetes and Hypertension can cause microscopic kidney damage which may not get detected on USG.
A 24 hr urinary protein will be helpful.
I suggest that you should visit a Nephrologist who will be your best guide in this case.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
