Suggested tests and advices
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
It is not a severe disease but can be transmitted by skin to skin contact when active lesion.
Rarely it involves other system in body.
If it does not recurr it is good.
You can get tested for confirmation of herpes by getting serological testing for HSV 1&2 IgG and IgM antibodies. Also if active lesion present smear examination from local site. These can be done in good accredited laboratory.
You can always consult any other venereologist for examination and diagnosis and for counselling.
You can get tested for other STDs also like HIV HBSAG etc.
You can disclose these to your partner after results to be honest and fair.
So that you can allay fears of all these diseases.
You can get back for clarification else close the discussion and rate.
