What Causes Intermittent Headache And Mid-back Pain?

Question: I have had a headache when I awake in the morning that comes and goes throughout the day. When I am sitting it usually subsides, but when I stand it hits hard and then gradually subsides. Since this has started over a week, I have also had back pains in the middle of my back, which have gotten worse over the last day because of throwing up last night and this morning. I do not have high blood pressure or diabetes. I exercise and eat healthy, could lose 15 pounds which I gained in the last two years working nights and driving three hours a day. Only driving two hours a day since February of this year.
Brief Answer:
Instability of blood pressure is the most probable cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Even if you don't suffer from high blood pressure, as a first possible condition that may cause your symptoms is changing of the blood pressure due to different body positions (lowering of blood pressure causes headaches also).
So, monitoring blood pressure for a couple of days, is needed.
Headaches could be also to the same condition that triggered vomiting, (food poisoning eg.
Another possibility of headaches in your case, is stress and fatigue due to your work.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
