Question : I have intermittent pain on side of right breast. 2cm away from where wire of bra sits usually only hurts if touching, or massaging. Worried now cant feel lump

I have intermittent pain in the right side of my breast. Its mainly when i touch the area or when i hold my son. I cant feel any lumps but im no expert. I was breastfeeding but stopped 2.5 months ago. The area is about 2cm away from where the wire sits from your bra. I first noticed it after i took my bra off yesterday. The whole area that is affected i would say is no bigger than 2-3cm approx .

Brief Answer:
It could be due to inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it looks like the pain is due to Inflammation.
I prescribe anti inflammatory tablet twice daily after food to my patients with similar complaints for 5days.
A cancerous lump or swelling at the age of 28 is very rare.
If there is no response after 5 days, you should consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
It could be Fibroadenosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Multiple nodule like lumps in the breasts goes more in favor of Fibroadenosis.
It is a benign condition.

I prescribe Danazol tablet twice daily to my patients with similar complaints. It will reduce breast pain also.

You can go for Mammography for more clarity.

Hope I answered your query.
Wish you good health

Yes thank you. It just freaks me out that the pain would be a symptom of cancer. We all just assume the worst. She mentioned it could be retained cysts but did say that cancer doesnt usually cause pain as a main symptom .

Brief Answer:
Pain due to Cancer is rare.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
It's better to confirm the condition by Mammography.
Pain doesn't indicate Cancer.
If i would have been your treating doctor i would suggest Tablet Danazol will be helpful.
The medicine is a prescription drug, so get it prescribed from a doctor.
Nothing to worry.
