What Causes Irritation In Throat?

Question: I woke up three days ago feeling something stuck in my throat or irritation. Its not getting better and everytime i swallow i can feel it. i have gargled w/ warm water and salt and it helps a little for a short perios of time.

However if you can see enlarged tonsils, whitish lumps in your throat and the pain while swallowing is present, quinsy or some other bacterial infection is possible. If you smoke, such symptom can indicate throat or larynx malignant lesion. You may have hoarseness. I suggest you to consult your doctor first. In case of doubts, laryngologist should be consulted.
