Brief Answer:
Possible STD

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are worried that because you had unprotected sex last evening that you may have contracted an STD. It is actually too early to tell if you have contracted any STDs. If you are infected it will take about a week or two depending on the infection you may have contracted. So at this point I would recommend waiting. But if you are especially worried or have high suspicion that you partner was infected then I recommend you could go to a STD clinic and they may give you prophylactic medication to prevent STD.

The itch you are currently experiencing could be local irritation from sex or it could be a slight fungal infection. You could try using over the counter antifungal like Lamisil or tinactin, used for jock itch, to treat possible fungal infection. If your symptoms persist then I recommend being seen by your doctor or a STD clinic.

In summary
1. too early from most STDs
2. If high suspicion then see STD clinic or doctor for empiric treatment
3. Fungal infection causing itch. Use OTC antifungal spray
4. Wait until symptoms occur 1-2 weeks
5. Use protection like condoms

I hope this answers your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care questions or concerns
