Question : Hello. I am a healthy 51 year-old. I do yoga and eat very healthy. I had joint pain on right toe and right thumb. I was tested for RA and it is negative. I do have high level of Uric acid-not much. Dr. has given me: Arcoxia 90 mgfor two weeks and Zyloric 300mg for a month. I am very good for adapting new diets if necessary. I would prefer to not take medication if possible. I am not in constant pain, just discomfort on tow with certain yoga postures and my thumb pains if I use excessive force. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Need to send your uric acid levels.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that you will need to send your uric acid reports to see the levels to detrmine whether there is a need for urate lowering therapy or not .

Also please mention your detailed history and whether you have any history of renal stones . Also any other relevant history you think if important please mention. You have been given right treatment otherwise , also attach other test reports so that we can understand your disease better and advise accordingly .

Take care.
